I’m an experienced, London-based multimedia journalist, editor and podcast producer who’s worked in the national media for more than 10 years.
Having started my career at a leading news agency, filing to national newspapers, completing commission work and writing real-life features, I moved into digital media in 2011 when I joined MailOnline.
In my current role as News Editor at Yahoo UK (part of Oath), I lead a team of freelance writers in producing original content, as well as shaping social media strategy, launching editorial products and overseeing coverage of key news events.
I also launched a football podcast called ‘Steve Bloomer’s Washing’, based on my beloved Derby County, in 2017. The podcast has more than doubled its audience size since its first episode, attracted national coverage, and gained a reciprocal marketing partnership with a local business.
